My favorite new tool
I've gathered a few new photography tools lately, and my absolute favorite is the Spider Holster. Holy cow. It's a hip holster for your DSLR, and works just fine with a huge lens on it. I've got back problems, and carrying a camera around all day wears me out. This. Is. AMAZING. The belt is all velcro, and the buckle clips in three different places, so the belt itself is incredibly secure. There's a special foot that goes on your camera, and it clips easily into the holster, which will also let you lock it in.
At my brother's wedding, I had my camera on the Spider Holster, and a borrowed camera on a BlackRapid Strap.
I don't know what else to say about this thing, except it's fantastically awesomely wonderfully astounding. My back is happier, I have quick access to my camera, and all is well with the world.
If you do a lot of photography, or have to lug around a lot of equipment, check it out. Seriously. You won't regret it. Your neck and back will thank you.
